UCW Unit 1 - Every fourth Monday of
the month at 2:00 p.m.
UCW Unit 3 - They mostly meet at each other's home (age of
participants)
UCW Unit 6 - Every fourth Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
Anyone
who knitted or crocheted squares or blankets for the needy should
bring them to the church office during the week or to the meeting
room on Sundays.
Your name should be attached to your blanket or squares.
The end of August
is that we collect items for Knapsacks for
Kids. Thank you for helping families less fortunate and making the
first day of school a pleasant one for all children.
In April the committee takes orders for hanging flower
baskets for Mother’s Day. The money raised, is deposited
into the Special Project funds. The response is very positive and
similar campaigns are planned for the future.
The Secret Pal project was re-introduced to the
congregation. Youth ages 4 to 10 are paired with an adult
pal. They began exchanging notes in November and will finally meet
each other in the winter. It is hoped that their friendships
will then continue face to face.
