A LITTLE EASIER . . . by using the Shop & Support Gift Card Fundraising Program. |
| This is a program that other churches have found successful and is a year round fundraiser. |
- You don’t spend anymore money than you would normally.
- If you’re spending anyway, whether it is for everyday essentials, budgeting or for Christmas, why not give it a try. It’s hassle free.
- Your everyday spending gives back 1.5%-10% to the church.

Here’s an example of how it works:
At Canadian Tire you spend $100.00 cash, receive back your Canadian Tire money at the till and then you take home your purchases.
Now, by purchasing a $100.00 gift card from the CD Committee, you go to the store, make the same purchases with the gift card, receive back your Canadian Tire money at the till and take your purchases home. The difference is you just gave back 4% ($4.00) to the church upon purchasing your gift card from the CD Committee at no extra cost to you.
Gift cards are in various denominations according to the stores and services ($25, $50, $100, $250). See the list of stores and services on the reverse side.
We have chosen from a full list, a range of restaurants, gas bars, clothing shops, big box stores, etc. Also available are gift cards for airlines, hotels and VIA rail - just ask a CD Committee member.
It’s simple – choose the gift card, denomination, and write a cheque made payable to St. Paul’s United Church and hand it to a CD Committee member, so they can order your gift card(s). |

- In Ontario, gift cards do not expire.
- St. Paul’s Annual Christmas Tree/Gift Card program – after choosing a name from the tree, why not purchase the card from the CD Committee and support your church, rather than running to the actual store to purchase the card.
- All proceeds from this fundraiser go toward the general fund.
- Easy shopping for family, friends, neighbours, helpers throughout the year without going to the store.

Our goal is to have our families make at least one Shop and Support purchase per week on things they are going to purchase anyway.
