Karen Kaufman Terry Pond Kelly Batt | Thelma Hadwen Dave Ramer Bruce Rice | The committee has accomplished many things over the last 3 years. We have made many changes and improvements to our beautiful church to make it more efficient, user friendly and to stand the tests of time and none of it would have been possible without generous support from you, the congregation. It has taken a lot of hard work and dedication from our committee to achieve these goals and I’m proud to say we played a small role in the bigger picture and made a difference.
Over the next few years you can expect more changes and projects headed up by the property committee. The banquet hall will get another fire rated door installed. We are still working towards the church being barrier free and we have another big project that we need to start fundraising for in the New Year. The church roof is past its life expectancy and will need to be replaced within the next 2 years. The cost of a new roof is a little over $70,000.00. That is a lot of money but will give us peace of mind to know that our new organ and beautiful sanctuary will be protected for years to come.

Peg Simmons | Doreen Smith | The governing structure of the United Church starts with the local church council, and progresses to Presbytery, Conference and National levels of oversight. St. Paul’s is entitled to have three representatives at Oxford Presbytery based on our current church membership numbers. One of these representatives is expected to serve on church council and act as a liaison between the council and the Presbytery.
Presbytery meetings rotate between the churches in Oxford and are held the second Wednesday of every second month from September to June. Information about events in Oxford Presbytery is published in the “Church Mouse” newsletter, which is sent to each congregation. More information including a list of representatives, coming events, resources and news items can be found on the website. Oxford Presbytery |

We are often asked: “What is A.O.T.S.?” The name A.O.T.S. (As One That serves) is derived from the words of Jesus, “I am among you as one who serves” (Luke 22:27, R.S.V.). A.O.T.S. aims to promote Christian fellowship, to deepen the spiritual life of men and to develop an effective program of Christian service. Our Club was chartered in 1993 by the A.O.T.S. Club of St. Andrews United Church of Chatham.
We presently have a membership of 23 men and we interact with several clubs in our 4 Counties area of London Conference.
We meet the 3rd Sunday of each month at 8:00 a.m. for breakfast and Christian fellowship unless otherwise stated. July and August are exempt from meetings. The Executive meetings are held the first Monday of each month except July and August.
Potential new members are invited to attend any of our breakfast meetings or special events to discover what A.O.T.S. is all about. Hopefully the fellowship and effective Christian service which A.O.T.S. aims for will assist you in fulfilling your life in the home, in your daily life and work, in the community and in the world. The men of the church can make a difference. Check us out.

The Archives is the area in the church in which the church records are kept. This includes minute books of the church, which are not in active use, as well as those of all organizations within the church. These records tell the history of St. Paul’s dating back to 1867 when the first church was built; at that time it was a Methodist church.
Each year, pictures are placed in special archival books, each page is enclosed in special archival covering. |
