Council members gather on the third Tuesday of the month to consider issues of concern to the entire congregation and to make decisions regarding the life and work of St. Paul’s United Church. Council is comprised of two delegates from each committee as well as one representative from both A.O.T.S., U.C.W. One of our Presbytery representatives also sits on council. In addition to these members, there is a council chairperson, past-chair, secretary and treasurer. Ministerial Staff attend meetings, but do not have a vote. All members of the church are welcome to observe at meetings and council minutes are available to all interested persons. | | Click here for more information about this group |

It is the responsibility of the Worship Committee to plan the special worship services -Anniversary, Remembrance, etc., and to arrange for pulpit supply when the Minister is not present. Fortunately for us, the latter responsibility is very easy to fulfil because most of these Sunday services are now being covered by our Ministerial Assistant. |

Melanie Arthur Ruth Francis Emily Rice | Karen Helsdon Michelle Batt Marla Rice | The Christian Development Committee focuses on strengthening our Christian Education resources, the needs and interests of families, and ongoing programs such as Sunday School, Confirmation classes and youth activities. Wilma Kent Kirosa Ecker Laura Mahoney | Dianne Parnell Ken Parnell | As you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me. As Christian stewards we serve the Lord by serving others. There are needs to be met at home, across Canada and throughout the world. Through special givings we supported the Salvation Army, the Women’s Emergency Centre, the Helping Hand Food Bank and Camp Trillium. Through the Mission and Service Fund we combat injustice and touch the lives of many people in need across Canada and in 37 countries throughout the world. Through M&S theological students receive help, pensions are paid, church development is assisted, mission grants are made to churches in need of help, to name a few. The M&S fund is the life blood of our national church. |

The Committee carries out Annual Reviews of all staff to provide an opportunity for the Committee to consider how goals and objectives for the past year have been met, identify what might assist staff in carrying out their respective functions better in the future and establish priorities for the next year.
The Ministry and Personnel Committee is the appropriate body which persons or groups may share their questions or concerns regarding church staff and their work. Each written and signed question or concern will be dealt with on a confidential basis and given careful consideration. Prior to recommending any action to Church Council, all parties concerned will be consulted. |
