| AOTS is a men’s service club that is affiliated with the United Church of Canada, but is open to all men on a broad ecumenical basis. AOTS aims to promote fellowship, deepen the spiritual life of men, and develop an effective program of Christian service. In fact, AOTS stands for “As One That Serves”, which is taken from the statement by Christ: “I am among you as One that serves.” (Luke 22.27). excerpt from National AOTS | | We are often asked: “What is A.O.T.S.?” The name A.O.T.S. (As One That serves) is derived from the words of Jesus, “I am among you as one who serves” (Luke 22:27, R.S.V.). A.O.T.S. aims to promote Christian fellowship, to deepen the spiritual life of men and to develop an effective program of Christian service. Our Club was chartered in 1993 by the A.O.T.S. Club of St. Andrews United Church of Chatham. |
 | We presently have a membership of 23 men and we interact with several clubs in our 4 Counties area of London Conference.
We meet the 3rd Sunday of each month at 8:00 a.m. for breakfast and Christian fellowship unless otherwise stated. July and August are exempt from meetings. The Executive meetings are held the first Monday of each month except July and August.
 |
 | | Potential new members are invited to attend any of our breakfast meetings or special events to discover what A.O.T.S. is all about. Hopefully the fellowship and effective Christian service which A.O.T.S. aims for will assist you in fulfilling your life in the home, in your daily life and work, in the community and in the world. The men of the church can make a difference. | For over 80 years, the AOTS has been involved in:
- introducing thousands of laymen to the spiritual fellowship of the church.
helping give laymen practical training and experience in group leadership and volunteerism.
- spreading the good news of the gospel.
- providing lay ministry and support for ministerial staff.
- nurturing enthusiasm and goodwill within and between congregations.
- raising money and providing labour for church renovation projects.
- supporting countless local, national, and international outreach programs and missions.
- supporting ongoing national AOTS projects — Youth-to-Camp, Observer on Tape, Hospital Projects, and scholarships. excerpt from National AOTS
